Shahrazade is an elegant, pebbly seed-texture cotton with nubs of shiny rayon. The contrasting textures and fibers make for a gorgeous and nuanced dye result. Beautiful for drapey kimono jackets, woven or knitted, and as texture in woven and loosely knitted scarves. Little to no resilience in the finished fabric.

Dyes great with the rayon and cotton taking the dye in slightly different intensities. Weaves well. Yarn is beautiful when used as weft is a bit fragile when used as warp. You can make it work as both warp and weft but have to be careful not to use too much tension.

I just dyed a skein of this with your indigo. It is fantastic!!! The color is more a brilliant royal blue than the denim blue I was expecting. The rayon adds a touch of shine. Wish I could add a photo to show it. Just placed an order for another 5 skeins.

This is a fun shiny yarn. Love the little nubs throughout. Haven't dyed it yet. I may leave as is.

Beautiful yarn. Dyed Mermaid Blue and it is stunning. Took the dye easily. Love the larger skeins as this makes a great gift - especially to those allergic to wool.
